AHDC Pacing Series Conditions
AHDC 2008
Pacing Series (Spring/Fall)
Horses
three(3) years old and up
A) Horses not qualified
to race must satisfy the AHDC Directors that they are
competitive and safe. In most cases, our races can be used as
Qualifying Races
for Freehold Raceway.
B) Horses must race in at
least two of the Club's series
races (for that Spring or Fall season)
to be eligible for the final. It is the responsibility
of the club member to make sure the horse
that he or she is entering fits the conditions.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
HORSES THAT DO NOT FIT,
WILL NOT RACE.
C) Any Horse that has
started once in the Series (for that Spring or Fall season)
is eligible for all subsequent legs, regardless of a change in
condition which would
otherwise make him ineligible. Said Horse must still
satisfy Condition 'A'.
AHDC Races at other
Racetracks should reflect the common practice of that
Racetrack. All Pari-Mutuel conditions for the Horses
and Drivers apply when
AHDC Races are on the card or racing the final at The
Meadowlands.
Particular Attention to Lasix horses.
The AHDC Reserves
the right to draw, assign, cede or handicap races as may
be in the best interest in the club and the safety of the
drivers. In the interest of
keeping full fields, conditions may be adjusted at the discretion
of the Board of Directors.
HORSES IN THE
AHDC RACES DO NOT LOSE THEIR RACE PREFERENCE
DATE AT FREEHOLD RACEWAY !!!
AHDC Races are charted but will not reflect prize monies earned in club races.

vests when driving in AHDC Races at Freehold Raceway
as well as any other state requiring same.

Announced
Points will be awarded to
drivers using the "European Point System".
In an Eight Horse Field, the point run down will be: 13, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
The system reflects 5 pts between 1st and 2nd. 2pts between
2nd and 3rd.
1pt between the rest. A six horse field would result
in: 11, 6, 4,
3, 2, 1.
NOTE: THE SIZE OF THE FIELD IS DETERMINED BY THE NUMBER
OF STARTERS. SCRATCHES ARE NOT COUNTED.
Two (2) points will be awarded for a scratch if and only if the
horse is scratched
out of the paddock and the driver is present. ALSO, if a horse is
entered and
does not appear in the paddock for whatever reason, the starting
fee will still
be required and no further participation in club events wll
follow until the fee
is paid. If said driver is in the paddock and the starting fee
has been paid, that
driver will receive one (1) point.
In the event that there are more entries than can be accomodated
by either
the track or the club for whatever reason, then an entry will be
pulled out at
random from those drivers who had the most starts prior and any
of the drivers
of those entries will be assigned a "preference" for
entry in the next leg in
which they declare. The driver of an entry so pulled will be
awarded three (3) points
for the race from the leg from which the entry was pulled.
The Driver with the most points AFTER THE FINAL will be declared the
Series Champion.
In the event that there is a problem with eligible horses for the
final, the Club
reserves the right to reduce the number of starts a horse must
complete during the
series to one. The AHDC also reserves the right to draw, assign,
cede or handicap
the races as may be in the best interest of the Club and the
Safety of the Driver.
IF IT IS
NECESSARY TO ALLOW A HORSE WITH ONLY ONE START IN THE
SERIES TO RACE IN THE FINAL, THAT HORSE/HORSES WILL BE ASSIGNED
THE OUTSIDE POST POSITION(S).
